For more than half a century, Chicago’s Terlato Wines International has brought some of the world’s finest wines to the American table. Owned by Anthony J. Terlato, and his sons, Bill and John, the Terlato family has built its wine business on a simple philosophy: Quality is the only thing that endures.
Terlato Wines International crafts its portfolio in the same way a fine restaurant creates its wine list, balancing for variety, region, wine style and price. The Terlato portfolio spans 50 brands from 10 countries, and garners more 90+ ratings from top publications than any wine company in the world. Today, one of every eight bottles sold over $14 a bottle is a Terlato wine.
The Terlatos started out in the wine industry as retailers in 1955. Over the years, they have been involved in all facets of the business as wine distributors, importers and exporters, as well as winery owners and vineyard developers. No other company in the industry has successfully operated throughout all channels. This diversity of experience shaped the Terlato family’s unique perspective and approach to luxury wine marketing, sales and production.
A longtime supporter of the arts in Chicagoland, the Terlato family supports numerous cultural, educational and charitable organizations including Chicago Lyric Opera, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, William Guy Forbeck Research Foundation for pediatric oncology research, Lake Forest Country Day School and the Lake Forest Library.
Terlato Wines International and the Terlato family are pleased to again join Ravinia Festival as a sponsor, to help continue its enduring tradition of bringing the finest quality music and entertainment to the Chicagoland community.
